Reddit -> Beehaw until I decided I didn’t like older versions of Lemmy (though it seems most things I didn’t like are better now) -> kbin.social (died) -> kbin.run (died) -> fedia.

Grew up in the US, live in Japan; zero chance I go unless someone’s dying.
If nothing else domestic, you could see if Toto or another company makes one rated for Canadian electricity. The ones sold here in Japan expect 100v, but they might have others for export.
Neither are Malta nor Cyprus (and most of Turkie)
Japan is almost entirely metric (with a couple old units used in parallel). We buy TVs, monitors, and bicycle tires in inches (which, while fine for me, is just gibberish to japanese). I’d love for that to stop
I’ve put every 4 I can find I’m, but it just doesn’t work! It seemed especially angry at the fridge magnet ones.
They don’t always do it, but they can and that scares me.
Looking over my finances, I have three things I still directly pay for:
Steam (though I last bought a game months ago), Nebula, and various google services. Google is really hard to get around for a number of reasons in my current situation. I rely on voice for 2fa for my banks in the US (though I’m hoping they eventually support authy or something). Losing those US accounts is not possible right now (in the worst case, using a US payment method and address may make steam revoke my entire existing game collection for being outside the rights/distribution area I bought from).
Nebula feels bad. I really like supporting several of those creators and love their content. I may continue to support them.
I had one other thing I’m letting expire.
Other than that, my domains are already through a European registrar and I think everything else is Japanese.
I’m guessing whomever/wherever you’re seeing is either defederated or, more likely, blocked by me. In any case, pay them no mind if you do see them.
Iunno. I think it should derive from a mandate by the masses.
They got called out for allowing nazi and other content. They cried “free speech!”. Eventually they said “we fixed” by which they really meant that they only let you post Nazi (and similar) content if you don’t directly call for the killing/extermination of people. That’s where it was the last time I read about it, so I assume they’re still quite happy to take money from and give money to some of the worst people around. No clicks from me.
I would assume not. The grids, except for Texas and some of Alasaka IIRC, are all fairly interconnected and share a lot. I’m assuming it comes in to some point over the border and enters the broader grid. Maybe it would be possible if it enters in multiple states to cut individual states off (which would still likely impact neighbors), but I don’t know anything for sure.
All our measurements are in metric they would just be lost.
is funny, but the military at least all use metric.
German kaiser as well.
As a citizen of both countries, my vote is on ‘no; not for a very long time if ever’.
