People need journalism because you can’t believe the horse’s mouth and you don’t have time to do deep investigation into every suspicious activity by people in power.
There are thankfully more options than “the horse’s mouth” and “social media”, but unfortunately those options are dwindling

indeed journalism has led us toward social media
