    The point is they’re building the synthetic casus belli.

    Sounds like you agree that their threats to Canada are serious, even if the details are nonsense.

        Then I don’t. Can you explain? I thought since a casus belli is a pretext for war, that you must agree the USA is threatening Canada. And I thought that by “synthetic casus belli” you would mean that they’re cooking up pretexts for hostility.
