Today’s game is Assassin’s Creed 2. I started this up today, and did a little tinkering with reshade. I still want to mess with it a bit because i feel it’s way too saturated, but it’s definitely got less of that ugly filter games of that era had. So, just consider this a disclosure that mileage will very if someone decides to replay this and sees my pictures.
I first wanted to start off by saying that the soundtrack to this game is absolutely amazing to me. The piece earth alone absolutely captured me with it’s calm opening followed by the (what i assume) to be the electric bass.

Ezio’s performance can come off a bit flat at times, but despite that there’s something about him that has captured me in the same way my other favorites have. I think it’s similar to Arno and how he goes from this almost cocky individual to something more reserved and at times furious. With my only other brush with him as a character being Revelations, it makes for a fascinating character arc. Especially since he gets a full 3 games to grow, something as far as i remember no one else gets.

This game really feels like they took the flaws of AC 1 and refined them. The parkour feels far nicer. So does the combat and the story. The characters feel like they have far more depth too. I suspect this will be as short as Assassin’s Creed 1, but i’m hoping i’m wrong and we get a little more time. Obviously nothing crazy like Shadows but a Shorter game feels perfect, especially for a trilogy.

Are you playing with a controller or a mouse and keyboard? I love me a mouse and keyboard, but I played this game a couple years ago and by the end of it I was ready to break my computer in rage and I’m not normally an angry gamer. The parkour was awful by the end, you have places where you have to execute long series of moves and jumps with the most precise timing and sequences of key presses at exact perfect timing and if you screw it up or if the game decides to delay your input or flip your key presses (which it did A LOT) you fall and are right back at the very start. Sections that are supposed to be a fun little challenging climb were taking me 30-60 minutes just to get past, and I’m normally pretty good at those kind of challenges in video games. I was starting to think my game was bugged AF, heck, maybe it was.
Controller. Specifically PS3. I have a lot of respect for people who play the franchise with Keyboard and Mouse but I could not be one of them
