He is saying companies should move manufacturing to the US to avoid those tariffs.
But the companies selling those goods don’t pay the tariffs, so how does going to the US avoid tariffs? It would stop the importers/consumers from paying the tariffs, right? Plus, he’s waged tariff wars on every fucking country on the planet. Manufacturing anything in the US would mean paying more tariffs for any material a company would import.
