My new pebble is on its way to replace my decade old Pebble Time Steel and I am so happy with it
I snapped up the new old pebble pretty much as soon as it went for pre-order.
No, it doesn’t have OLED screens, or NFC/Tap-to-pay. It doesn’t support any native android watch apps.
And that’s exactly how the fuck I like it. Give me my 10 days of battery life, the occasional notification for something, and basic sleep/step tracking.
This thing is gold.
I have a banglejs. The screen is great in the sun, and I can control every part of the watch’s code. It also doesn’t have a microphone or camera, because it’s a watch.
I got the PT2 and I can’t get enough of it. Even though I mess with it constantly, the battery has been going for 3 weeks on a single charge and it still has 35% left. If you like the original Pebble I’m sure you’ll love the new one.

Battery life can be pretty variable. Running step tracking, heart rate every five minutes, and the xDrip watchface, I only get about a week and a half.
It’s so nice to not have to check my phone all the time to know where my blood sugar is at. I’m looking forward to the upcoming rework of how xDrip handles Pebble communication so that I can start playing with my own watch faces. Theirs does its job but isn’t stylish by any means.

Didn’t things like the Amazon echo already establish this? Those things have outsold all Apple Watches combined 2:1. People have been contributing to these corporate survellience nets for years.
