This looks promising. Based on TomTom (Dutch!) maps. I like the idea of marking businesses with a solid/hollow maple leaf. It’s in beta now and seem like there is a bunch of interest. Waiting to get in to test drive it.

Interesting idea and I’m 100% for Canadian tags/flags but I have a couple reservations.
First, I wonder about creating another GPS navigation system. Especially when it’s built on a private commercial system. Second, unless I missed it, it appears to be closed source software that claims it doesn’t spy on you unless you agree.
Going with a developed commercial system as the foundation has some advantages over OpenStreetMaps, mainly identified addresses, but at what point does TomTom stop access to the information?

I know nothing of the TomTom developer system, but I’m assuming at some point there would be a cost involved and/or more requirements to access the data.
I’d love a add-on for CoMaps that showed Canadian ownership or a built in OSM field. In my non-expert opinion I think that may be a better alternative.
If I’m mistaken on something, let me know.
I haven’t found a good solution that’s not TomTom for iOS / navigation while driving. If you have a better option for open source I am all ears.
Aside from the Claude designed website and blog, this looks promising.

Maple maps or TomTom? I have used TomTom a bit now and they seem great.
TomTom. Some changes from 2years ago aren’t reflected there yet.
In my experience they have some brand new stuff. There is a new shopping area in the town close by and it’s already there. It might depend a bit where you are? I have tried some other apps and they were behind on this.
Oh, yeah, I’m sure it’s quite usable, I just tried the app for a couple of routes and it looks good enough.
