How effectively has the public lack of support stopped interventions in recent memory?
Of course I seriously hope this changes but I think that only happens thru enough DSA-aligned people in power to force that change. An uphill battle, but there’s hope.

American here who has lived in Canada by choice for many years now and am now a dual citizen. I’m from a military family and my family doesn’t even support Trump or Chief Makeup Queen that Trump appointed to head the military. Your assumption regarding public support might be applicable in Alabama or some shithole state but most Americans neither approve of Trump nor the actions that Trump has forced the military into taking. Supporting soldiers and vets is a lot different than supporting the stupid missions the government forces them to carry out.
The vast majority of Americans including many Republicans are sick of the US meddling in other countries’ affairs. The US as the hegemon Monroe envisioned only exists in history books and MAGAt idiot minds.

Americans are the most patriotic people in the world and the point is if somebody messes with our military (like the comment that I responded to said they will cut us off) then the public will support what is best for our military.

Where is the accountability why that happened and what efforts have been made to prevent or minimize civilian casualties. There should be a standard to meet with respect to collateral damage and 90 percent civilian death toll is way too high should be much less and show what efforts are being made to minimize.
