    It wouldn’t have been if it was reliable.

    Fundamentally, trade happens when you’ve got something that you don’t want as much as your neighbour does, but he has something that you want more than he does. The result is that each side gets something they wanted more.

        It made both of us richer. Spare us this Trumpian zero-sum view, it’s normal for both trading partners to benefit.

          We benefited trading with the UK. The US didn’t take over to benefit us. Don’t act like the Canada/US (or NAFTA) wasn’t the worst agreement in Canadian history.

            It wasn’t now get out of here and educate yourself.

            Even CUSMA has been beneficial for both parties.

              All I see is our value added jobs went south of the border and we have to buy back our materials at a markup. If our materials ever undercut the US market then they’re tarriffed.
