They only have a minority. These barely last a year.
It depends. None of the other parties will challenge them this way unless they have something to gain. Right now, none of the other parties is strong enough to challenge them, should an election be declared. And I don’t see any of the other parties making significant gains in a year.
Minority governments have been in Denmark for more than a century.
Canada isn’t Denmark. A year is a clear exaggeration, but it isn’t exactly unusual for a minority government to go down in no-confidence flames before their term is over, either. How long this one stays in power is going to depend on how good they are at forming alliances.
The last 2022-2024 federal liberal and ndp supply confidence agreement lasted for more than 2 years.
