Did you all noticed from recently that youtube is giving only lov quality opcion (360p) in mozilla firefox, despite youtuber uploaded that video in high quality (1080p)…?
I think this is another move where they are using monopoly to ruin firefox and leave only chrome as only webbrowser…
First time i thought hm this is strange why is this video in so poor quality and i saw that only 360p opcion iz awailable. This youtuber for sure wouldnt upload video in this bad quality so i copied the link and pasted it in another browser chrome and it showed in 1080p and good quality and everything was normal. So i think its must be on purpose to ruin firefox.

YouTube feels like entirely shady stuff these days.
I mostly use an alternate front end, but every once in a while I go to YouTube and its a wall of AI slop videos and stupid tiktok-like shorts. It’s near unusable.
I never had that but what I did notice was that embedded videos now won’t play in Firefox (says something like “content isn’t available”). Can’t even click on anything to bring you to the actual YouTube page, I either end up not watching or having to search for the title…
That’s why I make a playlist of everything I want to watch and download the playlist and use VLC to watch.

I’ve noticed on Revanced I can’t change the quality. It’s locked at either 240 or 720 for most videos.
You should switch to Morphe, no point staying on Revanced. Even the community is better and faster updates. I am not facing any issue on the stable version of patches.
The issue maybe more about identity verification. They can verify you precisely on their browser. In ff with some restriction settings (maybe fingerprint resist or strict tracking protection) or maybe without any, they will have hard time knowing you are human. I see the prompt to identify crossroads and all in ff, but am not going to give them free labour to train their AI.
Well privacy matters so i wont let them gather all the unecesery info about me just to verifi am human. That can be solved vith one quick prompt when i enter the website…
Also i much preffer Lbry platform that works like torrent and is freedom for us users than this youtube where they decide what we will watch…

Yes it is, to make sure google is default search engine in firefox and to get informacion that firefox is collecting. If we want private web browser we need to support it financialy so it doesnt reach to google for money…
No arguments here. In the meanwhile, might I suggest watching YouTube via alternative means like yt-dlp, Invidious, and/or NewPipe, sometimes used in conjunction with the Sponsorblock API.

I still have the option to change resolution on DuckDuckGo but it does auto play in like 360
