Wtf is wrong with these government people? We’re currently undergoing the single greatest period in Internet hacking and they’re debating this? Every day all I hear about now is this was hacked and that was compromised online, and these people want to weaken security for their citizens, for what? A couple big photo ops while risking the info of 40 million people. Not a good trade-off. Plus, making the companies store this data, sensitive info, just is asking for hackers to steal and exploit it. The companies won’t improve their security for the government. It’s not a profitable undertaking.
