If you really don’t want to sign up for EhNow (which is Canadian), I added a screenshot with the info. EhNow link: https://ehnw.ca/e/s2xmHJqhTU6vvC0uHNFeZw
Edit: Alright people, here’s a new link. Don’t worry it’s not a phishing attack, it’s not spam, or whatever other horrific thing you’re assuming, you don’t have to go through the horror of creating a free account on a Canadian website, it’s all right here on Lemmy where you created a free account on a Canadian website. I am simply trying to spread the word about this protest. https://lemmy.ca/c/never51

OP says that this is a link from ehnow.ca but the link in the post is from ehnw.ca which is missing an “o” and that is very common on fishing attacks.
I wouldnt click on it until OP explains why the domain name is different.
facepalm
phishing attacks? are you serious? It’s not a phishing attack.
I’m trying to spread the word about an anti-annexation protest.
You’re paranoid because there’s no O?
No, I don’t know why. I didn’t make the website, nor do I really know how URLs work. It’s a legit link though. Your paranoia is unwarranted.
I think it has something to do with linking to the app version vs the website version.
I didn’t realize people on here were THIS paranoid.
Do you think youtube links are phishing attacks when it’s a shorter version?
“this link says ‘yt’ and not ‘youtube’ clearly it’s a phishing attack.”
Just…wow.
What you call paranoia is basic InfoSec 101 training that everybody in a company must learn. If the domain name of a link or an email address has any difference with what you expect, then its most likely a phishing attack.
Also the fact that your account was just created yesterday is very suspicious. I would discourage everybody reading this to click on the links of this post.
Yeah the redirect to open in an app thats only on google play is a fun part of this too… Very suspect.
