The lesson is that a few years of hardship is worth it to eliminate our dependency on a country that elects a spoiled four year old in a constant tantrum.

From my perspective it’s trump that’s being taught a lesson in the true art of the deal, even though both sides are unnecessarily suffering for his antics.

    Dear Canada,

Please consider invading California. Think of the win-win. You get San Diego, the movie industry, and better wine. We get health care, and safety for people who are different.

So come on down. We’ll probably surrender. My wife and I are so polite, we’re often mistaken for Canadians. We’ll even learn to say “aboot.”

    Think aboot it, eh?

    Sincerely,

    Me

“Canada has taken advantage of us for so many years. The worst of any country,” Trump said.

Someone should tell this moron that repeating something excessively does not make it true.

Guy has been doing it publically since the 80s, and probably all 8 decades of his life and it got him nothing but power and wealth.

Its the morons who listen to him that need to be straightened out.

Joseph Goebbels: “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

I would say there’s a difference between reading and comprehension. He can read, but he has zero ability to comprehend what he’s reading. Anything requiring complex thought — nahh he’s doneskies.

I think he can read. Given how he talks though, it’s at a very low grade level. One could say he’s doing it to keep it where his base can understand the words, but that’s giving him a lot of credit for being a closet mastermind (aka Phil Hartman’s Reagan skit on SNL). I doubt it.

I saw a meme on facebook of Trump giving an anti-trans speech, and I knew it was bullshit. Not because Trump isn’t anti-trans (he is, don’t know happened to him to make him that way, he was one of the people against bathroom bans initially… Oh right mental decline and his base loving it when he shit talks transpeople happened.), but because it was coherent and well-written… for bigotry.

Based on everything that’s happened in the last 10 years, and how his camp has been preparing, I expect to see the Dem’s lose even more.

They’re not even putting up a fight though, they absolutely know how to get votes and what kinds of things the citizenry want, but those things go against their “donators” so they’re never going to move to the left and actually get things fixed.

We’re absolutely 100% going to watch America fall into civil war again in the best case scenario. Worst case is we get Fascist America until someone stronger destroys them and 75-100% of the planet with them.

The only lesson Canadians are learning is to never trust the US again.

This rich spoiled shit bag has spent his entire life feeling entitled to get anything he wants, often using any means at his disposal to get it. And now he decided he is entitled to getting full control over Canada’s natural and human resources. He thinks that by inflicting pain on our people it will allow him to enslave the entire country. He doesn’t give a crap about the suffering he is causing on either side of the border.

And the dumb thing is that it will obviously never work. Trump is treating the country like it was a business or a property he wants to acquire because he’s too dumb to understand the difference. It doesn’t work the same way at all. Look at Ukraine. What Canada is going through is nothing compared to what the Ukrainians have endured for years now and they’re still not giving up. Canada will be the same. Canadians are increasingly hostile to the idea of making any concessions to the US now and they will go through any hardship that is necessary to avoid their country to be taken over because they know they’re still better off that way. All of that pain and loss of productivity will amount to nothing good.

This is an unprovoked attack. When this pedophile finally leaves the White House one way or another and someone who isn’t absolutely batshit insane takes over, I hope Canada will demand reparations for the damage that the most corrupt and incompetent person the US government has ever allowed to preside over the country has caused.

Canada needs to harden itself and its population in every single way imaginable.

The one mistake you are making is assuming that the next president will try to normalize relations and act like Trump never happened. This is not going to be the case. Vance is following in the same shit Trump is doing and there are a lot of true believers that Canada should be taken over by the United States.

Until some very serious reform happens to America itself, I will never trust the United States. They will always be just one bad election from losing their fucking minds and going back on any and all promises and agreements and turning on allies. Even if the Dems win the midterms and possibly 2028, I don’t trust that they’ll do enough to stop this from happening again or even hold anybody accountable.

Exactly. Their three branches of government are all broken: executive too unrestrained, and too powerful; legislative too deadlocked, gerrymandered, and gerontocratic; judiciary too partisan, dogmatic, and corrupt.Their quasi-religious constitution is a relic that they spend more time worshipping than thinking about what a constitution is for.

I am begging the entire world to turn its back on America. America is not an adult, it is a child that was raised on action movies. That child is a fucking brat and will betray you the second an opening to do so is available, even if there’s no reason to.

America needs to be told no, and have its toys taken away until it behaves.

I say this as an American.

“I love the Canadian people, but the leaders have taken advantage of our stupid leadership for many, many years. They felt emboldened. … They act like they’re totally innocent. They’re not. They were very bad. But now they’re being taught a little lesson.”

That’s rich coming from a frequent visitor of Epstein Island (though I suppose no lessons have been learned in his case).
